Dr. Susana Rodera Ranz is an attorney at law and researcher in International, Human Rights and Migration Law. She holds a European PhD in Law from the University of Zaragoza. She has been member of national and international research groups, amongst others: Migrations and Labour market: Problems and solutions for a globalized Spain (Coord. Eduardo Rojo Torrecilla, 2002-2006), Comparative Study on the Implementation of ten EU Directives in the Field of Immigration and Asylum (European Commission, 2007-2008), Comparative Analysis of Immigration Management Systems in the "new" reception countries (Coord. Cristina Gortázar, Mercedes Fernández, 2009-2010), International Migrations, Integration and Human Rights (Coord. Ángel G. Chueca Sancho, 2012-2014). She has worked for international organizations such as the Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights (Switzerland) or the International Organization for Migrations (Chile).
She is currently researching on Migration and Asylum Law, EU and International Law, and other Human Rights related issues and working as asylum and migration attorney. She also works pro-bono as legal consultant.
La Dra. Susana Rodera Ranz es abogada e investigadora en Derecho internacional, derechos humanos y Derecho migratorio. Es doctora en Derecho por la Universidad de Zaragoza (doctorado europeo). Ha sido miembro de grupos nacionales e internacionales de investigación, entre otros: Migraciones y mercado de trabajo: Problemas y soluciones para la España de la globalización (Coord. Eduardo Rojo Torrecilla, 2002-2006), Comparative Study on the Implementation of ten EU Directives in the Field of Immigration and Asylum (Comisión Europea, 2007-2008), Propuesta de análisis comparativo de los sistemas de gestión de la inmigración en los "nuevos" países receptores de migrantes (Coord. Cristina Gortázar, Mercedes Fernández, 2009-2010), Migraciones internacionales, integración y derechos humanos (Coord. Ángel G. Chueca Sancho, 2012-2014). Ha trabajado para organizaciones internacionales como la Oficina del Alto Comisionado para los Derechos Humanos (Suiza) o la Organización Internacional para las Migraciones (Chile).
Actualmente investiga sobre Derecho migratorio y de asilo, Derecho europeo e internacional, y otras cuestiones relativas a los derechos humanos y trabaja como abogada extranjerista y de asilo. También trabaja como consultora legal pro-bono.
